A: Due to health and safety concerns for shoppers, vendors, and pets, pets are prohibited in two sections of the market: the center aisle between vendors on Market Square and along Market Street. Service animals will always be permitted, and animals that are safely confined in carriers will be allowed.
Union Avenue, and the sidewalk areas of Market Square, and Krutch Park are dog-friendly zones where patrons will find food trucks, dog treat vendors, and many other MSFM vendors.
A: Yes, we accept SNAP through a centralized program at our information booth, located on the corner of Union Ave. and Market St. on Saturdays and on Market Square on Wednesdays, and some of our vendors accept SNAP individually. We also offer Fresh Savings at all our markets, a Double Up SNAP program that allows SNAP participants to double their food dollars for fresh fruits and vegetables.
A: Yes, we welcome buskers at the MSFM in our 4 designated busking zones. No amplification will be allowed. The MSFM reserves the right to dismiss any busker who is causing a nuisance, obstructing pedestrian/vehicle traffic or entrances to shops and buildings. Buskers with excessively loud performances may also be dismissed.
A: At the Saturday market, shoppers are invited to drop off their market purchases with a volunteer at the Wall Avenue info booth while they bring their vehicle around to pick up, May – October. There is NO Veggie Valet during the month of November.
